Beginner's Yoga Course

Want to start your yoga journey but aren't sure where to begin? Join us in the new year for this friendly Yoga Foundations course to get you confidently onto the mat!


Over 7 weeks we'll explore the basics of your yoga practice including:


~ Asana ~ physical poses. Forming the majority of the sessions, asana are a wonderful way to get in touch with your physical body and improve strength, flexibility and mobility to aid you both on and off your mat.


~ Breath work or pranayama ~ without breath there is no movement! One of the key differentiating factors between yoga and other movement based practices is the emphasis on the breath and mind, body, breath connection. Learn how to begin to harness the power of the breath to enhance your life.


~ Meditation ~ asana is a moving meditation. How can we begin to create more focus and space mentally and emotionally as well as physically? Meditation doesn't have to be an unattainable goal but can be a useful tool you use as part of your everyday routine.


This course is designed with complete beginners in mind but is also suitable for those looking for slower paced sessions where you can refine your knowledge of the 'basics' ~ of which there are many complex principles and subtleties that can easily get lost in group yoga classes catering to all levels.


The course runs over 7 weeks and is bookable as a course only. Come try a taster session on Fri 6th Jan, 9:30-10:30am to give it a whirl and see if it's right for you:

Sessions will be held at a light, spacious, welcoming community space with ample free parking. Please bring a yoga mat, 2 blocks (I recommend cork over foam if possible) and a belt & wear warm comfy clothes to move in. The investment for all 7 weeks is £58.
