🍂 Seasonal Rest: Autumn Starts Fri 25th September ~ 23rd October 2026

7:30-8:45pm, sessions are recorded

Five weeks of live yin yoga, seasonal inspiration, Traditional Chinese Medicine wisdom, beautiful soundscapes, somatics, gentle practices to weave into your week & a beautiful autumn gift box 🍂

Summer's resplendent rays begin to fade and autumn's cloak brings a tinge of coolness to the crisp, sweet air at dusk and dawn. Can you sense the change coming? Time to sift through the harvest and the bounty of summer, to assimilate, discard, digest and make space for all the blessings which are yet to come.

Seasonal Rest: Autumn is an invitation to honour not only the cycles of the seasons but also the rhythm of your precious animal body, the home which carries you through all, and your mind, heart and spirit.

🍁 Five weeks to rest with the season 🍁

Over five weeks, we'll explore the qualities of autumn through yin yoga, seasonal awareness and aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In TCM, autumn is associated with the Lung + Large Intestine meridians and with qualities such as letting go, grief, breath, boundaries and making space for what is essential.

These will be doorways to our threads of inquiry throughout, a reminder to reflect upon:

What am I ready to release?

What do I need to make space for?

Where could I soften?

What would it feel like to breathe a little more freely?

We'll bring these themes into our practices gently & experientially with a somatic, embodied approach to Yin, tending and befriending not only body but the internal landscape of the organs, too.

🍁 Yin has been a salve for my body, heart and mind. 🍁

Yin has been an instrumental practice in helping me cultivate inner fortitude throughout so many tumultuous seasons in my life. Not the kind of strength that comes from pushing harder or numbing out but something vastly underrated ~ the strength to stay and be present.

To stay with sensation, uncertainty, and when things feel uncomfortable. To stay in the uncertainty and the liminal space, and at times the void, so that what wants to emerge can come through. It's taught me how to listen to the wisdom of my body and intuition, how to soften my edges, and cultivate a deep well of resilience and soft strength. This is what I'd like to explore with you in Seasonal Rest.

 🍂 Our 5 Week Journey 🍂

Each week we'll meet live for a 75-minute yin yoga practice. The practices will be slow, spacious and nourishing. We'll work with body rather than against it, using props and variations so that you can find your own experience of each shape and also leaving space to explore and find your own way.

You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to have practiced yin before. And you don't need to arrive feeling calm. You can simply arrive as you are.

Alongside our live sessions, I'll offer simple seasonal practices and invitations to weave into your week.

These might be a short recorded practice, an audio, a reflection, a breath practice or a simple invitation to notice something in the natural world ~ little moments to keep the thread of Seasonal Rest with you beyond our time together.

Everyone who joins Seasonal Rest will also receive an autumn gift box* in the post ~ a collection of little things to encourage you to pause, nourish yourself and create moments of seasonal ritual at home.

Something tangible to remind you this time is yours, too. *Please order by Fri 21st Sept to receive one!

Weekly themes

🍁 Week 1 ~ Arriving

Coming out of the busyness of summer and noticing what this new season is asking of you.

A chance to arrive in your body and create some space.

🍁 Week 2 ~ Breath

Exploring the breath and the Lung meridian.

What happens when we stop rushing and allow ourselves to receive?

🍁 Week 3 ~ Letting Go

Drawing on the wisdom of the Large Intestine meridian and the natural release of autumn.

What are you ready to put down?

🍁 Week 4 ~ Making Space

Exploring boundaries, simplicity and what we need in order to feel nourished.

What might you make room for when you release what is no longer needed?

🍁 Week 5 ~ Rest + Release

Our final, extended practice. A chance to gather everything we've explored, settle deeply into stillness and close our journey together with a sound bath. A ceremony for the season and moment to simply receive.

🍂 Your autumn invitation

As the world around us begins to slow down and turn inward, perhaps you can allow yourself to do the same. You don't need to wait until you're exhausted, until everything on your to do list is done. You don't have to be flexible, calm or composed, you can simply begin. Come tired, busy, in your PJs, exactly as you are.

For five weeks, we'll create space for you to stop, breathe, listen and reconnect. To your body, the season, yourself. See what a difference it makes. Seasonal Rest starts here...

🍁 About Your Guide ~ Marie

Yin has been a salve for my body, heart and mind, and an instrumental part of cultivating my own inner fortitude.

Yin has been a guiding principle for me in listening and being, slowing down enough to hear what is happening beneath the surface. It reminds us to be with ourselves... exactly as we are and to extend compassion towards ourself in the process.

In a capitalist hellscape obsessed with urgency, rest is a radical act, but nature reminds us it is necessary and integral to our well being. Long may we embrace it with the seasons and cycles.

Want to join us but still have some questions? Check out the FAQ below.

FAQ

🍂 I haven't practiced any yoga or meditation before, can I join?

Yes! Modifications will be offered for poses to make sure there is an option to suit your body.

You don't need to be flexible either - this is a by product of practicing ;) There will be an emphasis on feeling and not aesthetics or alignment.

🍂 What equipment will I need?

A yoga mat and some props like a bolster and blocks can be helpful, but you can use cushions, pillows, blankets and other things you already have at home.

🍂 I can’t make all of the lives, is that a problem?

Don’t worry if the timing of the live sessions doesn’t always fit with your schedule ~ each live is recorded. A replay link will be sent straight after each session. Access the replay for all 5 weeks until 31st October 2026.

🍂 How will live sessions be delivered?

Online via Zoom (download the app for free at zoom.us).

An account is not strictly necessary but makes the user experience a lot smoother.

🍂 What are the seasonal mini offerings?

These are small, simple practices and invitations to weave into your week between our live sessions. They may include short recorded practices, audio, reflection, breath practices or seasonal invitations.

🍂 Is Seasonal Rest suitable for everyone?

This is suitable for everybody 18+ but not pregnant folk/those who are post partum. Yin can be adapted for many different bodies and needs, but it isn't a substitute for medical care. If you're managing an injury or health condition, please check that yin yoga is appropriate for you and speak with your healthcare professional where appropriate.

🍂 Can I buy this as a gift for someone else?

Yes, the easiest way to do this is to use their email address when booking the course so that confirmation etc is sent to them. If you have a specific day you want to send it then please wait until that day to register.

🍂 What is your refund policy?

I trust that you will honour your commitment to the container & as such no refunds will be issued once the course has commenced.

Is your question not here? Feel free to drop me an email and I'll get back to you.
