About the Event
Join us in the gorgeous grounds of Shugborough Hall for a relaxing Saturday afternoon outdoors! We'll meet outside the main gate and walk ten minutes through the beautiful grounds (or take the buggy) to our picturesque yoga spot outdoors in the gardens.
We'll share a 75 minute gentle and accessible yoga flow, suitable for everyone comfortable with a mat based practice, working on cultivating health, vitality and ease for mind, body and spirit. Expect breath work, meditation, mindful movement and a lovely long guided relaxation perfect for those summer afternoons.
Practicing outdoors during this time of year is always such a nurturing experience - taking time out and away from screens to reconnect with ourselves and with nature, the beauty that surrounds us.
After the class is finished feel free to explore the 900 acres of wood and parkland that make up the Shugborough estate ~ there are so many enchanting walks and activities to enjoy alone, with friends or the whole family (scroll down for a whole list of family friendly activities!). As part of your ticket you'll also receive a voucher for a cup of tea in the cafe ~ the perfect after practice chance to unwind and catch up with loved ones (and maybe treat yourself to a scone!).
This is open to all aged 16+ and you will need to bring your own yoga mat.

Family-friendly things to do on the Estate:
Exploring the Estate
With 900 acres of estate to explore you will find new adventures every time you visit. Will you climb up to Hadrian’s Arch and roll back down the hill? Spot what’s growing in the walled garden? Or find the blue and red bridges around the circular walk through the gardens and arboretum.
Explorers' Wood play area
This natural play area inspired by ocean-faring patron, Admiral George Anson, is filled with adventurous things to do. You can build a daring den, climb to the top of the climbing wall, or even whizz down the zip wire.
Visit Park Farm
Park Farm is home to historic breeds of Sheep and Cattle. They are often out and about across different areas of the estate so look out for them on your walk. Take a look at our interactive farmyard exhibit in the historic Mill Block to find out about the role the farm played in Shugborough’s history.
Family-friendly things to do in the Garden
Shugborough is home to the widest yew tree in Europe- how many steps will it take for you to go round it? Visit the Walled Garden to see what’s growing, or wander along the river and to spot the wildlife.
